Worried when her 13.5-year-old blind toy poodle Muffin kept bumping into things and falling down the stairs, owner Silvie Bordeaux sought a way to let her get around safely and without restriction. The result was Muffin’s Halo, a lightweight harness system which adds an angel halo to warn blind dogs of objects around them.
The benefits to a blind dog’s immediate safety are obvious, but the device could have huge implications for pet rescue as well.
Blind dogs are difficult to get adopted, which unfortunately means they are often the first to be put down in kill shelters. But with Muffin’s Halo now available, many of these hard of sight dogs will now get a second chance at life. Learn more on the Muffin’s Halo website.
