Mural artist Hendrik Beikirch ECB recently completed a series of thought-provoking works in the “city of iron” Ferropolis, Germany.
Comprised of six murals, the project honors the miners who toiled in the area that was once the heart of the country’s iron production.
With it now home to theme parks, an open air museum, and more, Hendrik hopes the black and white portraits will remind visitors of the hardworking men who built this area.
The artist has become well known for his portraits, most of elderly men, around the world. Take a look at his latest below, and to see more visit his website.
