New York-based artist Kim Keever drops colorful paints into water-filled aquariums and allows the results to determine themselves. The pictures created in the unpredictable, abstract displays that follow are only limited by the viewer’s own imagination. Every iteration results in never before seen forms flowing above, below, and around each other in a new and unique way.
Growing up around the water on the eastern shore of Virginia, it’s no surprise that Kim’s work would feature the element so prevalently. Previous series of hers have dealt with underwater landscapes as well as underwater eroding mountains. Our favorites from her abstract series are below; view the rest of the photographs from the fine series on her website.
