Street artist Nunca has just completed this mural in Lisbon, Portugal, which depicts Pedro Alvares Cabral, a Portuguese nobleman and explorer widely believed to be the first European to reach Brazil.
What sets Nunca’s work apart from many others is his interesting technique of criss-crossed lines, which must be viewed up close to be noticed and appreciated. The lines provide his works with a sense of depth and texture that would be difficult to achieve with only a more simple, traditional style.
Below, you’ll see the completed mural by Nunca in Lisbon in progressively closer shots, allowing you to see the way his line styling comes into view.
