Shoot Like a Pro with This Folding Pop-Up Light Box

Take professional, high-quality photos wherever you go with the Foldio2 by Orange Monkie. An update on the wildly successful Kickstarter-funded Foldio, the folding pop-up light box now features 200% more volume and much brighter lighting thanks to longer LED lighting strips.

Though it now requires an adapter for power, we think the trade-off in being able to shoot many more objects due to the increased size and lighting is well worth it. Setup takes just a remarkable 10 seconds, thanks to a smart but simple magnetic structure design taken from the original Foldio.

The designers have also developed a new accompanying smartphone app, which allows you to quickly adjust brightness and color levels on the fly. Though there is no shortage of photo editing apps, they felt none possessed the proper level of simplicity, and decided to just create their own. Find out more in the video below, and visit the project’s Kickstarter page if you’re interested in contributing.

Celebrate Hanukkah with the Dr. Dreidel

Fresh off of bringing us the Thanksgiving meals of famous artists, San-Francisco-based Hannah Rothstein is back to help us celebrate another holiday.

When we think of Hanukkah, naturally the first thing that comes into most people’s minds are dreidels and music producer/rapper Dr. Dre. So it was only a matter of time before these two worlds that keep their ears on the streets combined, with the festive yet still hard-to-the-core Dr. Dreidel.

Each Dre portrait that appears was chosen to correspond with the “aftermath” of the dreidel’s spin. Gimmel, or “take all,” gets a thumbs up from Dr. Dre, for instance. See all of the Dre Dreidel’s reactions below, and for more from Hannah, visit her website.
