Artist Recycles Old Motorcycle Parts into Steampunk Sculptures

Czech artist Tomas Vitanovsky has been enamored with cars and motorcycles since an early age, so much so that he would become a motorcycle racer and mechanic. It was one day while working that inspiration hit him to weld all these extra parts he had together, transforming them into animals, beetles, cars, bikes, and more from the world of steampunk.

With each work he completes, his pieces become more complex and detailed. It has become a treasure hunt of sorts, with Tomas taking great joy in the search for just the right part to complete a project after its image “pops up in [his] mind.” All parts are recycled from old cars and motorcycles, some of which he finds in garage sales and others which are donated by those who appreciate his art.

Take a look at Tomas’ unique steampunk sculptures below, some of which are available for sale on Etsy.
