These Seniors Show You How Your Tattoos Will Look Like in Forty Years

Hesitating to get a tattoo for fear of what it may look like in forty years? Well, these older folks might just help you decide if you really should get one.

The tattoos on their skin are proudly donned, showing off the still vibrant colors as well as their intricate designs (which are still as cool as ever). Some even sport full body tattoos which look badass.

Simply said, they still look really awesome with their inked bodies, and their youthful vigor has proved to be timeless.

Artist Trades Her Homemade Tattoos with Friends

Ukrainian-born artist Stanislava Pinchuk aka ‘Miso’ inks simple but beautiful homemade tattoos for her friends in Tokyo and Melbourne.

But rather than be paid in cash for her work, she prefers to barter for homemade personal items or trades from her friends.

So far, I’ve really just kept it as a trade system, and only for friends – it’s too important and intimate for me to take money for, at this stage,” she told Yellowtrace. “A trade for what someone feels its worth – maybe they teach me a skill in return, cook me dinner, give me a book I would love, assistant work, whiskey. You never know, but everyone feels good about it, which I like. But more and more, I feel like it’s becoming a bigger part of my practice.

View her beautiful bartered tattoos below, and for more of her work visit her website.

Artist Adds Tattoos to Famous Celebrities and Film Characters

Seattle-based mixed media artist Cheyenne Randall‘s Shopped Tattoos series adds tattoos done in the American traditional style to the likes of Marilyn Monroe, Spock, and many other celebrities and film characters.

The project all started in 2013 thanks to an accident. Left with a dislocated kneecap, Cheyenne was ordered to two months of bed rest. Looking for a way to fill the time, he taught himself Photoshop and began applying digital tattoos to anyone he could.

The series which gives us a new way to look at these iconic characters has garnered him a large following online, and he just completed his first gallery showing at San Francisco’s Gauntlet Gallery.

Our favorites from the series appear below. To keep up with the latest in the Shopped Tattoos series, visit Cheyenne’s website or follow him on Instagram and Tumblr.
