Photographer Alan MacKenzie traces his love of nature and its creatures back to a primary school trip in 1986. Despite he and his class being caught in a downpour, he couldn’t help but feel at home amongst the animals as they sought cover. That day would inspire the love of wildlife photography which would become his life’s passion. He spent his days pouring through nature books from the local library, and consuming all the work of famed photographers Stephen Dalton and Niall Benvie he possibly could. Brilliantly capturing deer trotting through meadow, birds soaring over crashing waves, and other scenes of the wild, Alan’s love for his photos shines through in each wildlife picture he takes.
