David Karp, founder of microblogging and social media platform Tumblr, is flush with cash since last year’s $1.1 billion acquisition by Yahoo. He’s putting those dollars to good use, making this $1.6 million New York City loft apartment his home.
The former shoe factory makes efficient use of its large open spaces, a necessity with the home doubling as an office for David. Built-in shelving and desk spaces provide plenty of room to work and mull over new ideas. Old and new design styles combine, with a free standing clawfoot bathtub overlooking a raised living space. Large windows throughout give beautiful views of NYC’s Williamsburg neighborhood below.
